Default Higher Level Henchman

After completion of the Hell's Precipice mission, a lvl20 set of henchmen should be made availabe at the Frontier Gate, Lion's Arch, and Henge of Denravi as well as the ability to have 8 members in a party to complete the newly-added Titan quests in these areas. The game is meant to be fun! And it's not when you only have 4 people to take on several lvl28 monsters.

Unhappy

I am not even going to try the last three titan quests anymore, the first titan quest (In Mineral Springs aka Defend Droknars) was easy and fun to play as I solo'd it with henchman, but the grind in these final three missions are as bad as anything I have attempted in Final Fantasy 11, as you need the most competant and elite party which is definatly not going to happen here in Europe. I thought this game was supposed to be grind free as well.

Probably if I was in a decent guild (i.e. top five-hundred, which is a grind in itself to try and get into), I would like to try these quests again, but I doubt no guild is going to take me as I am a pure PvE specialist player (whom has racked almost two million experience points and been playing since the beta weekend events) and in no way a PvP player (A rank of zero, a fame of zero and a total of eighteen Balthazaar points which I have got in pre-searing. That is how much I care about PvP).

I do not mind spending hours doing easy'ish quests to complete them succesfully (i.e. Galen in SF and Defend Droknars), but I cannot stand these kind of quests. Something really needs to be done to make them easier (but longer to complete).

If these quests had more of a incentive to play and die all of the time (i.e. getting very good gold and purple drops constantly from any of the new monsters in these final three quests) then I would not mind trying to do these quests at all and I would retry these quests until I die of old age, else as they are now, they are just too hard (with a casual party), too boring, not beneficial to even attempt, and are no fun at all.

I dub these last three Titan quests (Last Day Dawns, Defend Denravi and Defend Kryta) the "Extreme Grind" of Guild Wars.

No No NO!
If you do anything at all, don't make those another package of those easy breeze through quests. Unless some people, there are a lot of folks out there who ENJOY a challenge.
I've done those quests with a pretty mediocre group and we had fun. Lots of fun. We died sometimes, but we kept on fighting and finally made it. That was when we said "woaaah, that was sooooo cool". Don't make it yet another easy part... if you want easy quests go to the Fissure or the Underworld. Or simply play the whole game.
It is just TOO easy to start with.
Now as they implemented a challenge finally you come here and demand it being changed? Oh geez.

NOT signed and rated a very very very bad idea.

/edit:
And being forced to take players... well if you completed the game and can't form a party of 4 people from your friendlist... you should consider you are doing something awfully wrong in terms of social skills.

You don't have to do them if you find them too hard.

I am very happy with the way they are, the few challenging quests in the whole game. They are meant to be completed with partners not with henchmen.
I find that they provide an unique oportunity to train guildies in true strategic combat, discipline, efficient target calling and priorities, pulling, attaining terrain advantage and endless concepts that are easily ignored due to the simplicity and lack of difficulty in all the other parts of the PvE game.

I like going to LA to help lvls 10-15 new players while i have those quests activated. What they type can make your laugh for an hour.

I like that you can't have a full 8 man party for them (although you can "cheat" by running from higher level areas). I definitely don't like that you can't bring henchmen.

I see the point in opening it up now, it is difficult to find others to aid you with the quest often times, and henchmen fill those gaps.

However, I believe they need to include a next step of quests which are noted and designed solely for the purpose of being challenges, not fancy words like they will "challenge players who have conquered hell's precipice" but like "These are designed to provide a challenge to those who desire the most difficult battles"

Yes, there should be henchmen to use for when you cant find human players. One day I was online trying to do one of those quests and no one in the town was doing that quest. I usually play late at night.

Well better hench and larger groups so be allowed in lower areas for THOSE missions only. For people NOT at those missions yet, then party of 4-6 with lv 6- lv8 hench is all thats allowed. Its simple for the game to determin if you qualify.

Personally I like taking hench.

And yeah, its pretty funny sitting around in like lion's arch or even grendich listening to people asking "what/how do I ascend? How far am I?" and so forth

After I chuckle at them asking how to ascend, I usually whisper to answer their questions.

I still have a laugh in Fisherman's Haven... cause anyone run to ascension usually go ToA to Fisherman's Haven, to Santum Cay and on to ascend... But of course people will sit in Fisherman's Haven asking questions like "Where is Temple of Ages?" "oh I wandered here from Beacon... where am I?" Or "can someone run me to Droknar?" (yes I saw that one) and of course a whole slew of questions on ascending and where the path is to the desert.

The titan quests were an addition for the best players and i hope the difficulty stays as it is.
It's not impossible to do because the devs play test things extensively before release.
Keep trying.

EDIT - Mavrik, you reminded me of the guy in Droknars who asked me where the desert was and if i could run him there

Hell no, I would hate longer quests. Easier?????????????????? WTF MAN!

The PVE section of the game is EASY ENOUGH.

Even the titan quests were whatever~

the level 20 henchmen would get owned pretty much just as fast as the low level henchmen get owned vs. titans. so increasing their level is not going to solve your problem there.

i did the Frontier Gate titan quest with 4 people. no problems at all there for me.

i did the Henge titan quest with 6 people, also no problems at all there for me

for Titan's Source, yes i agree it's a problem trying to do that with 4 people. if it is possible, then i'm betting it is barely possible. they should allow you to have 6 people in your party at the Courthouse in order to fix that one. and yes i know the "trick" is to run from Yak's Bend, but doing so is a silly waste of time
